ARTIST: BALAGANS

SHOW TITLE: THE TEETERBOARD

Balagans was founded 2008 when Oscar, Guillermo, Nilas and Manel met, and started working together at the University College of Dance and Circus in Stockholm, Sweden.

While in school they discovered they shared a passion for teeterboard, acrobatics and dance, and slowly developed the trust and confidence necessary to be able to work together.

Since graduating 2010, Balagans has worked in different circuses and theaters in Spain, Sweden, France, Germany, Switzerland, Monaco, Canada and Turkey with companies such as Cirque du Soleil, L´ateneu popular nou barris, Circus Arts, Urbanatix and more.

In january 2011 Balagans made it into the history books when they were awarded the gold medal with the "City of Paris award" and the "Franco Dragone entertainment group prize" in the 32 Festival du Cirque de Demain (Paris).

During 2011 they brought home another gold medal, this time from the Young Stage festival (Basel).

In 2010 they created a show together with L´ateneu popular nou barris and director Ricardo Gallardo called "Circumstàncies" where they got the chance to combine their collective techniques with their individual skills ( chinese pole, rou cyr, hanstands and acrobatics ). Resulting in a fun and energetic show about the meeting of four guys in a waiting room.

Balagans has become known for their innovative style which combines up tempo choreography with high technique, making it look easy.

SHOW DESCRIPTION:

The teeterboard act is 6 minutes of high tempo acrobatics where trust, teamwork, dance and technique is combined to an award winning act.
