Trained as circus artist and contemporary clown at “The Circus Space”, and “Ecole Philippe Gaulier”, London, Tom Greder creates totally interactive performances which blur the boundaries between observer & performer and which turn reality into fantasy. He also conducts regular contemporary clown and creativity workshops throughout the world. For the past 19 years he has traveled the world as professional guest and comedian. He spends half his time based in his native Switzerland, half in Australia (which he adopted at age 6)...and half traveling between the two. As Oskar, he captivates his audience leading them to a world where life and comedy become one. Developed in over 30 countries as a solo act or in the clown duo “Oskar & Strudel”, his unique interactive comedy style and range of physical skills and characters continues to delight and move audiences throughout the world. His latest production, “All Aboard” draws inspiration from his many years of travel and focuses his interests on interactive comedy and contextual physical theatre.

Tom Greder’s work has been described as:

All Aboard

“Everybody has the fantasy of being on that train which whistles in the night”.

A red toy locomotive speeds along the rails of imagination. It passes through sublime and delightful worlds created on stage and finally journeys its way though the entire audience. Blurring the boundaries between spectator and performer “All Aboard” is an interactive parable in which the public truly become actor and accomplice.

Woven throughout this playful naiveté is a profound parody of the human condition exploring the whole wide circle of life and death, wisdom and ignorance, laughter and tears.

Please mind the platform gap !
