During the past 20 years, Alonso
received formal voice training from teachers in
Rio, New York and London. Since his first
band "Choque Geral" he has worked with a variety of
others, however, having maintained the "guitar and voice"
option always parallel to other works. Although he performs
much of his own work, he pays great tribute
to his musical heroes such as Chet Baker
and James Taylor, The Beatles and Bob Marley, sometimes
keeping the original arrangements, other times interpreting
them in his very own way.
His repertoire would not be complete without some
native Brazilian material, such as the good old Bossa
Nova. Alonso
currently resides in London where he works as a musician
performing at private events, bars, hotels, restaurants and
ski resorts.
Alonso is currently working on his third CD.
